YOUR DRUM LESSONS

1) Lessons take place in your space--the space you create for your practice and your craft. This ensures that you will continue to play, practice, and write music outside of your designated appointments. So-- you must have your own drum kit.

2)  Lessons are weekly or every other week, and my flat rate is $30 per hour.

3)  Payment is accepted via cash, Paypal, or Square Reader before or at the time of the lesson.  Lessons may be scheduled monthly and paid for in monthly installments. Lesson time/date may be changed 2 full days in advance and canceled a full 24 hours in advance notice. Lessons canceled with out 24 hours advance notice are to be paid in full without refund. Timing is everything, and this policy stands to ensure fair and effective timing for everyone.

Learning to drum is an invaluable skill. Drumming facilitates learning and comprehension-- things like math, reading, coordination, focus, rhythm-- and it is more physical than most sports.  There is no better way to instill these skills and the knowledge of music, culture, and community like teaching someone-- of any age or stage-- the art of drumming.

I've been playing drums for 27 years, and teaching for 15 years-- covering it all, from basic rudiments and technique on the snare drum at the beginner level, to advanced high level drum set composition. My students learn the rhythms of various genres and bands ranging in blues, funk, rock, punk, Latin, and jazz.They go on to form their own bands, play in All County Band, or pursue an independent practice as mediation and for peace of mind.
